Sorry, don't see the comparison apart from athleticism.

Frosty has been in the system a while now, his decision making & disposal is what it is & won't get much better. He proved valuable when brought into the team but really is a classic depth player.

The big area of difference is in the contest, White was hard to beat one on one where Frosty is hit or miss. Despite his physical strength he often gets out positioned in marking contests. He also dropped some fairly easy grabs that proved costly.

Frost tidied up his disposal and decision making in the second half of the season considerably.

Agree that he does sometimes mis-judge marks (normally by running way under them), but also takes some rippers.  Would like to see how his % of winning marks stacks up against some of the key forwards he plays on, I recon it would be pretty fair.  Similarly some of the forwards he plays on grossly misjudge marks and he takes an easy one.  Either way it's a turn over, just looks worse for a backman at that moment, but equally  how many plays did Frost initiate, where he broke lines and we went practically coast to coast and goaled as a result?  It was a fair few.

I don't see why people don't think Frost won't continue getting better.  I recon there is more possibility of teaching an older dog new tricks, than turning a boxer into a greyhound.  At the end of the day, I also just love watching this guy play - seeing guys take the game on and go on big runs, taking big grabs and kicking big torpes is what makes the game exciting to watch and Frosty does all three pretty well.

Is someone trying to equate him with the Eureka Tower? The red stripe on the side of his top = the red bit on the building (supposedly a candle wick, apparently), the rest of the blue on the jumper equates to the majority of the glass and the yellow glass at the top of the building equals his noggin.

Thanks for having absolutely no understanding of the notion described. Bless you.

Indeed there is NO curse in the sense of anything resembling 3 witches at Halloween or a Haitian Voodoo ceremony. The curse as it were is simply the result of our endeavours to date since the great man left the club.

But in effect we have been 'cursed' by abandoning the very thing that made us great. Those elements are now being re-instated. They are our new 'rule of club"

It is no accident that we are becoming more successful by being more like Norm...None what so ever. ( imho )

edit: need to further explain.

Bravo BB.

Too right.  Lynch is a pretender.

Really impressed with May so far, just the way he speaks and how he handles the media.

Good point.

It is quite telling. We are expected  to be a top 4 side next year. We should be a top 4 side next year. We have the right players, system, culture and mindset.

When is the last time you could say the dees should make top 4?

Scary. And of course there is absolutely no guarantee we will make top 4. If we have a reasonable run with injuries anything less than top 4 would be a fail.

You (and others) talk of "culture and mindset" yet many of you wanted to keep Watts.  A quarter-dedicated joker.

Learn to analyse what actually happens on a footy field.  The game gives up its secrets if you watch carefully enough without rose coloured glasses.  It's a harsh game and it's very easy to detect those who give half-hearted efforts.  Much easier if you're at the game rather than watching on TV.

You just can't help yourself.

Humility is underrated but you would naturally disagree.

Curious that we all support the same footy side.

But of course as they say, sometimes the worst supporters are your own.

I did indeed want to keep jack. One of my favorite ever dees players. Certainly that was a factor but so was the fact that he was our best kicks and we lack good kicks.

His second last season with us was his high water mark and he made valuable contribution. Something that you might well remember I predicted. A prediction you took issue with leading to a losing bet and your jacky boy avatar

But I also made clear on multiple occasions that I understood and respected the decision to trade him and haven't complained once since it occurred.

And besides we all get things wrong PD. You for instance, in your inimitable way, dismissed completely my belief tmac could make an excellent forward when it was first tried. In fact IIRC you were quite adamant he could never be a forward's boot lace and the experiment would be short lived

I on the other hand, with my strong football analytic skills and many many hours of watching him live, was adamant that not only could he be a good forward he might even play that role going forward. I mean it was pretty obvious he had the ability if you were to take of your confirmation bias glasses.

Looks like I might have got that one right pd. You  - not so much.

I’ll admit I was initially a little underwhelmed by his acquisition essentially for Jesse but the more I hear from him and see him in action I realise we are probably better off. We’re a high scoring but have shown a vulnerability to the larger forwards of the comp.

Really looking forward to seeing him in Red and Blue next year.

Thought he came across pretty genuine and provided sensible answers without too many stock standard modern footballer clechés.  Did seem a bit nervous though and not as polished as some, which is kind of refreshing in a way.

Love this bloke already. May have dismissed in the past as a simple brute.

Proposed new nickname - Stark (May - winter is coming)

very impressed so far from what i have read and seen, Cant wait to see him playing for us.

Late to watch this, but very impressed with his honesty. He's a beauty!

The TV footage (sorry haven't attended too many GC games) shows an old style aggression at the man with ball that I love. Can't wait to see the first mcg game
