Agree. There was also barely anything in the Head/Siraj altercation but the commentators made it sound as if they went into an actual fistfight. I think the media just wants this series to be as drama fulled as possible.
  2. Been disappointing for me. I was really excited by him at the end of '21 but he hasn't progressed at all since then. I struggle to really see what his role is at the moment. It's all very well to point at his workrate but getting 15 disposals (with the occasional goal thrown in) nearly every week is simply not enough for someone who spends as much time in the midfield as he does.
  3. That's literally one of the worst takes I've ever read. We'd hardly have a club left if it wasn't for Jones.
  4. He loves Weid but hates JVR even though he's already a much better player.

Are you really this thin skinned? Every time someone expresses dissatisfaction with the club's decisions you just resort to cheap personal attacks.

Telling someone that they're not a supporter when they critique the club is so dumb. And where was anyone saying that the media is perfect?
  7. The last two pages of this thread have [censored] me off for a number of reasons. I agree that it's pathetic to hang [censored] on the club at every opportunity but it's also pathetic to get on your high horse and tell someone that they're not a supporter when they critique the club's performances. We've seen the worst of these two extremes in this thread alone. Fwiw, the vast majority of my posts are positive but this is a football forum ffs.
  8. Yep I remember in the Queen's birthday back in 2019 we got hammered but Gawn tore him a new one getting 30+ disposals.
  9. It's hard to fathom many people considered Grundy to be a better ruck than Gawn at the end of 2019. Grundy seems to be declining every year while Gawn's aging like fine wine.
  10. His epic bump on Hoskin-Elliot on the King's Birthday will always be etched in my brain
  11. Honestly I lost interest in the brownlow a while ago. It very rarely gives an accurate representation of who the best player was in a given season. I doubt that anyone thought that Neale was the best player last year. Same goes for Wines in 2021.
  12. A Sydney-Brisbane grand final would be fantastic for the competition
  13. Eh I'm sick of Geelong being so good all the time.
  14. Yeah I find it really stupid when people put the covid tag next to the '21 flag. Port Adelaide and Brisbane were gifted home finals while we had to travel to Adelaide and Perth despite finishing on top of the ladder. If anything, I think that alone made our premiership much more impressive. I've been as frustrated as hell by our performance since the flag but we were clearly the best team in '21 whichever way you look at it.
  15. For some reason most opinions on Goodwin on this site have to go from one extreme to another. Fwiw, I don't see him as a genius or a fraud. I think he's a solid coach with various deficiencies. It's perfectly fine to be neutral on him.
  16. I'm really happy with this news. I thought he was one of the biggest positives of 2024. His kicking out of the backline was far better than it was when he played down there many years ago. I'm expecting him to finish top 5 in our B and F.
  17. Agree. Not to mention that Hunter was solid last year while Jordon was struggling.
  18. The problem is that you are 'conveniently' misinterpreting the post I made. I was referring to the toxic behaviour across this site rather than one specific poster. I can't believe I need to keep explaining this to you. And no, saying you don't like someone is not a character assassination but saying that he "puts himself before the club" is. And I find it disingenuous that many of the people who have attacked Trac are the same ones who lecture others when they raise questions about our on field performances. That good enough for you legend?
  19. Lol if you took the time to actually read my post you'd see that I was referring to the broad set of people on this site who have been taking snarky pot shots at him just because he hasn't been behaving in a way that suits them. Nice try though genius
  20. Tbf it's one thing to critique a player's on- field performances, but assassinating their character is something else entirely. As @Dr. Gonzosaid, I'd say it's far worse. Fwiw, I can see why some people are disassfied with the way Trac has handled the whole situation, but some of criticisms aimed at him have been over the top and, quite frankly, embarrassing.
  21. The way Carlton are playing right now is giving me too many memories of the 2018 prelim
  22. He really doesn't
  23. Jesus Hogan has been good. I thought his career was nearly done 3-4 years ago.
  24. I was on Trac's side the whole way through. Some of the posts [censored] on his character were hard to read.
  25. I'm being selective but I can remember in the 2018 EF against Geelong (a side that had bullied us for years) we were absolutely ruthless and it was obvious from the opening bounce that they were the ones who were spooked. It would be great if we could bring that sort of mongrel next time we play Collingwood.
