  1. Yes but each club had the same categories, some best 23, some depth, some season, some earlier.
  2. Guess which club had the longest list.

A poster reminded me how quickly unpleasant memories can resurface, when he said how lucky it was that our new recruit Jai Culley's first name didn't start with an S.
  4. I believe that is the case. Remembering that we need enough places at the end of the year, for any returning players to the active list, like AMW and McAdam and also at least 3 spots for new people on the list, being drafted or traded.

It highlights how bad it is for fit players to waste games getting suspended.
  6. I hope you all feel sorry for me. It is my birthday, sort of, at the end of the week, but only for a second at midnight on Friday the 28th, ending before Saturday the 1st of March.
  7. It will be interesting to see how Roy goes at Casey, as we may have a spot at msd time and he appears to be at the head of the line atm.
  8. Yes and they both played in the side last year in several games. Hopefully AMW returns better than before and has a very good AFL career with us.
  9. Disagree. AMW has played hbf in the senior side. He may have gone forward, but I don't believe he was ever going to be playing midfield this year. A terrible injury for him.
  10. No he wasn’t.
  11. She has morphed into Ghostwriter. PS: Sorry ManDee just saw your post.

He stays and will play for Casey and maybe is added in the msd.
  13. I have been pushing for Roy for a few months now, but feel it will be Culley ,with more versatility and the fact that Roy will hopefully be there in the msd at our pick.

I am expecting Ethan the Newsbreaker to announce the news soon.

If that rumored $17m for 10 years offer is true and and to come home and he is knocking it back for $4m over 4 years, wow, just wow.

We are talking about a 3-4 day extension and given a big club is in the same boat and the situation is patently and obviously unequal, I think we are a real chance to grab a replacement. As I said in an earlier post, don’t ask don’t get.
  17. So the clubs are adopting my suggestion/proposal. As I said, it is totally unfair for some clubs to be playing their match sims after the SSP period closed, while others played earlier. All clubs should be treated the same and all play earlier or later. I think all clubs have now played their match sims, so what is so bad with extending the SSP to say Tuesday, 4 days longer.

That is going too far, because we simply don’t know. He may develop or he may not, but he hasn’t had the chance to do that yet. He deserves his chance and he will get it and good luck to him.

Kentfield told GW he would be out for a long time. He is getting over a potential life threatening illness. Is that a good enough insight, straight from the horses mouth. I am unsure if he will play Reserves this year, but I know he won’t play AFL this year. It would have taken the pressure off him too, which would help him. We now have a few out for the year and several on long term injuries. I would definitely ask the AFL to replace AMW.

What is patently unfair, is having some clubs play games after the SPP period ends, while others don't. It should be the same for all. End the SSP after all match sims, or before them, but not in the middle. Everyone knows contact sport is a higher risk of injury than just training. I hope he is fine, but if AMW is out for the year, we should be asking the AFL to be able to replace him. They already dudded us last year, medically retiring Gus a few days after the SSP period ended and not letting us replace him then.
  21. Someone said Adams did well, but I didn’t really notice him. Thoughts?
  22. Don’t ask, don’t get. Do you think Blues, Pies, Cats etc would ask the question. Anyway, hopefully AMW is not badly injured and we don’t need to worry about it.
  23. I can't remember the last time we entered a season with a healthy list. Hope AMW only has a strain. The initial reaction didn't look good however. If it is season ending, I would be approaching the AFL to replace him, as it is unfair that the SSP end was in the middle of a round of match sims. All sims should be completed before the cut off date, or none of them. There is obviously more chance of injury in contact games, than training.
