Not for me, Bitter. It would be a brave man to go down that path.

Do all lunatics in asylums wear an unflattering bikini like your current bio pic Bitter? Must've taken you a while to get that cozzie on. Impressive. Good for you. Don't listen to what they say.

Northcote is a long way from Romsey, Bitter. Need to be more careful mate. http://www.theage.com.au/technology/technology-news/it-all-comes-out-in-the-wash-on-facebook-20130423-2icyx.html

Cheap one liner jackaub. I truly doubt Wines would be having any more success with us now. Port have a midfield that can support him. In the long run Toumpas will be a better player for us than Wines would have been. If we can get a couple of good senior mids like Sewell and Swan we can fast track his development. Toumpas can play. It's not possible to judge after a handful of games. Many on here would have culled N Jones and Frawley after their first couple of years.

Firstly, I didn't select him. Second, the club selected him because he was the best available. Early picks must always be best available. If we got pick 1 this year and did not trade it, they'd be mad to pick a mid above Boyd, even though we need mids. That does not negate the fact that we must have mature quality midfielders to lead the way for Toumpas, Viney and the other young mids. We've been crappy at developing mids in the last few years, so he question I ask is, do we trade for that and who?

And next year we'll probably begin to kill the career of Aish or Sheed or the like and then claim him as a dud because he didn't set the world on fire after a handful of games in the worst AFL midfield seen in the last 20 years. Carlton had an average midfield, then got Judd. GC got Ablett. The circumstances are different but the point is the same. Get an A grade midfielder or 2 who are leaders and your draftees lift. So the question is, who would we target? Daisy? Swan? Sidey? Sewell? Fyfe? Kennedy (Swans)? D Martin? If we could get the last 2 we'd go a fair way towards righting the ship.

Unfortunately at the moment, the best way to kill a promising draftee's career is to put him in the MFC midfield. There is just so little support and leadership. Nate Jones is our best leader and performer in the middle, and I dont think he is a natural leader, just that we have none other. At any other club he wouldn't have that burden placed upon him and he could thrive without the hardest tag each week. Apart from Jones, who does Toumpas look up to in our midfield?

Lol, that should be BH's signature.

But isn't F/S bidding completed before the player trading period even begins?

I thought he recently re-signed with GC? Two years, wasn't it. Why would he do that and then leave?
