This is from someone that attended the B & F. Some want to hear this, some don’t. No biggie. The below was sent to me. I said “Please Clarrie, tell me you’re not leaving us.” He just smiled. I was drunk as it was but then the anger kicked in. I said, “This is messed up. Why are you doing this?!” He said, “Remember what I’ve told you before? The only way I’d leave the club is if they booted me out, otherwise I’m not going anywhere. That still stands and always will.” I said, “If Pert or whoever dares to offload you, I’ll burn down the MCG.” He said, “Don’t believe everything you read.”

It would be interesting to see a list of ‘big fish’ that have changed clubs and contributed to success to the clubs they have gone to over the last 10-20 years. Our flag was mostly built on recruiting (draft) and development apart from May and Lever. Do we class Ben Brown as a ‘big fish’ at the end of 2020? Tigers got Lynch after a dominant 2017-2018. There’s all sorts of rumours, one was doing the rounds last week that the B & F was going to be his last night as coach and it was to come with an announcement of Goody stepping down. Seems like that one missed.

The B & F puts an end to 2024. Things obviously didn’t go as planned, but it’s a night to recognise those that have given a hell of a lot to the club. Knocking blokes for busting a gut week in week out says more about the person than the player. Not many are happy with how 2024 panned out, 2025 begins now.

She’s good, she will be attending the women’s match tonight and B&F tomorrow. She will send updates on the way out of the burning building. She also said Oliver was at the women’s game last week supporting, but no song and dance like the time Trac attended a game a few weeks ago.

Just an idea. Every time a player is linked to the Dees via the bloke across the road, the lady at the local coffee shop or the neighbour’s pet, our good old mate WERRIDEE posts a starting 23 in various threads. We all bring something different to the forum and this is W’DEE’S thing. A dedicated thread for our friend to post all things squads. Go for it mate.
