Hypocricy and double standards
I find most articles about the Dees reinforce the negative by chronicling the club's issues in pretty much every article. For instance, the last two articles by Jake Niall in The Age, while making some 'nice' remarks about the preseason, then goes on to list our woes from last year and beyond. Caroline Wilson does it in every article - and they're two of the better journos! I'm still waiting to hear why half of Collingwood's staff left last year!

Ed Langdon the (Inside) Midfielder
Rubbish! When we played Richmond last year Dusty was said to have uttered "[censored] me! That bloke (Windsor) looks 12 years old" I'll take Dusty's word for it and leave him out of the centre for now.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 7th February 2025
Great read @Gator - thoroughly enjoyable. A couple of questions: How was Langdon at the CB's. Do you think he was just a fill in or may spend a bit of time there during the season? Where and how did Sparrow play? Good to hear Howes played well. I assume he played as a tall, given three tall forwards in the blue team. Who was he on, if you happened to notice? Thanks

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025
Perhaps the kid is undecided about pursuing footy and doesn't want any attention while he figures it out. Or, the club just wanted a look at him with no pressure attached.

David King’s Preseason Training Observations
I wouldn't say Cornes was nice in that segment, but at least he didn't cut loose.

Dangerfield Wants Shorter Quarters
I'd want shorter quarters too if I was his age. I recall he was pushing for this following the reduction in quarters during COVID. In some ways it's quite a reasonable request. Players are saddled with extra games now and it's too physically taxing to expect players to back up week after week, month after month. Something has to give. An extra bye might be an option.

MFC Nicknames 2025
It definitely started as singular. When he was on the G & G Podcast they called him Knuckle. Now he must have the added bonus of an 's'
-
The Go Home Factor
I thought he left because he wanted more midfield minutes and wasn't getting it at the dogs and wasn't likely to with their midfield lineup and his [censored] kicking.

All those fans..... where are the reports?

Kozzy Homesick & Wants to Leave?
I don't know. I assume the media linked us because he was out of a job and we need a new CEO
-
Kozzy Homesick & Wants to Leave?
We could take a leaf out of Peter Bell's book in his dealings with us for the Cerra* trade i.e. Freo' don't have the trade currency to entertain a discussion let alone a deal. In Harry hindsight, I'm glad we missed out on Cerra and hope we miss out on Peter Bell for CEO.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 13th January 2025
With the train-on players, I thought we had an association with Gippsland Power, which was why we had Duursma a couple of years ago? Don't we also have a number of players going on to play at Casey from GP? According to this it's Hawthorn: Through Hawthorn's link with Coates Talent League club Gippsland Power, Duursma will be at the Hawks. The youngest Duursma sibling starts his under-18 season as a pick No.1 contender after an exciting two seasons playing a range of different positions, including as a tall defender and forward as well as a midfielder.

Training Ground?
Their second oval is at Deakin Uni, where they got even more [censored] funding to upgrade the oval to the exact dimensions of the MCG. This might make sense if it was in some way useful to the Deakin Uni FC, but there is no DUFC playing in Geelong.
